FAQ

How do you ship your products?

We care about your order arriving safely.
That's why we pack all orders in strong and high-quality vinyl mailers. We also add a layer of ridged cardboard and eco-friendly bubble wrap to ensure the extra protection your vinyl deserves.

Are your products New or Used?

Currently, all products for sale are brand new and factory-sealed. We purchase our inventory from reputable distributors and pride ourselves on the authentic quality of the products we sell.

A ''pre-loved" section is in the works. Stay tuned!

I am looking for a very specific vinyl. Can you find it for me?

We would LOVE to try and track down the variant you are looking for!

Please contact us with as many details as you can (Artists, UPC, Variant details, Release date etc)

We can not guarantee finding it. However, we will happily try our best!

Can I pick up my order in person?

At this time, no.

Mercy Vinyls is currently a small online business. We send all orders via post from Queensland, Australia.

Hopefully, one day, we will have a physical location!

In the meantime, we love setting up pop-up market stalls across QLD and northern NSW.

What does 7-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch vinyl record mean?

7-inch vinyl: Also known as a single or a 45, the 7-inch vinyl is the smallest size used for commercial releases. These records typically contain one track per side and are ideal for singles.

10-inch vinyl: The 10-inch vinyl record offers a larger playing surface compared to the 7-inch record, providing more room for additional tracks. This size allows for better sound quality and louder volumes, making it a versatile option for various releases.

12-inch vinyl: The 12-inch vinyl record is the most common and widely used format for full-length albums. It offers ample space for entire albums and is the preferred choice for listeners and record collectors who enjoy exploring the artwork and packaging of a vinyl album.

Why are vinyl records available in different weights?

Vinyl records come in different weights for several reasons. Heavier records, ranging from 140 grams to 180 grams, offer greater durability and stability compared to lighter records. This stability reduces wear-and-tear on your stylus. While both lighter and heavier records generally sound the same to most listeners, the heftier weight often provides a higher perceived value. Disc Makers, for example, offers 12-inch records in 140-gram and 180-gram options, catering to those who prefer a more substantial feel to their vinyl.
